CEO of TUBYCON, Jehyun Park, Shares Innovation Story in Broadcast Interview

TUBYCON CEO Jaehyun Park Featured in Broadcast Interview as a Promising Local Enterprise

– Shares Innovation Journey Behind the Development of the All-in-One Urine Cup

Medical device startup TUBYCON (CEO Jehyun Park) was recently featured in a regional broadcast program as a promising small enterprise, where CEO Park shared the company’s innovation story and future vision. The interview focused on the development of TUBYCON’s flagship product—the All-in-One Urine Collection Cup, designed to prevent infection and reduce medical errors.

With 15 years of experience as a clinical pathologist in a university hospital, CEO Park drew from firsthand field knowledge to highlight the structural flaws in traditional urine collection methods. “Sample mix-ups and contamination are not simply human errors—they stem from systemic design issues,” he noted.

TUBYCON’s All-in-One Urine Cup integrates a standard collection cup with a detachable sample tube. This design significantly reduces the risk of contamination and misidentification that can occur during manual urine transfer using paper cups or open containers. Since its launch, the product has gained rapid recognition both domestically and internationally. Notably, within just one week of release, TUBYCON received letters of intent from 85 institutions, including Samsung Medical Center, Severance Hospital, and U.S. military hospitals.

“Our product was designed with the global market in mind from the very beginning,” said Park. “We have completed FDA registration in the U.S. and are preparing for market tests with major hospitals there. We also plan to accelerate our global expansion through participation in MEDICA 2024, the world’s largest medical device exhibition, held in Düsseldorf, Germany.”

To date, TUBYCON has secured 77 intellectual property rights—including patents, designs, and trademarks—in 56 countries. The company is also developing follow-up products such as a Multi-Tube Urine Cup (2024) and specimen containers for sputum and COVID-19 testing (2025). In addition, an automated urine testing system is under development to further enhance diagnostic efficiency.

At the conclusion of the interview, CEO Park emphasized, “Our mission is to help all medical professionals work in a safer, more efficient environment, while ensuring that patients receive the safest possible care. We are committed to proving that a small idea can indeed change the world.”

This broadcast served as a valuable opportunity to share TUBYCON’s core valuespatient safety and healthcare worker convenience—with a wider audience.
