Our All-in-One Urine Collection Cup with Detachable Tube has been awarded NEP (New Excellent Product) Certification by Korea’s Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy. The certification acknowledges the technology behind the cup, which helps prevent infection and keeps samples from being mixed up, and it has been publicly announced by KATS, the Korean Agency for Technology and Standards.
In this design, the cup and the tube are joined together. Once the urine is collected, the tube simply detaches, so there is less risk of infection, fewer sample mix-ups, and less manual work during testing. Hospitals that move specimens through pneumatic tube systems, known as Air Shooters, can use it with confidence. The certification also makes the product eligible for public procurement.
Our follow-up model, the Dual Urine Cup TUBYCON-U2, has two tubes attached so that two samples can be taken from one cup in a single step, a practical choice for health check-up centers, emergency rooms, and clinical laboratories that handle several samples at once. Our CEO, Jehyun Park, said it means a great deal that a technology born in the field to stop sample errors and infections has earned recognition from both the government and the market, and that TUBYCON will keep building products that benefit medical professionals and patients alike.
