From Validation to Export: “Startups Must Lead Innovation in Medical Fields”
TUBYCON CEO Jaehyun Park Stresses Need for Integrated Local Support System

Biohealth startup TUBYCON (CEO Jaehyun Park) participated as a panelist at the Gwangju-Jeonnam Innovation Industry Strategy Seminar held on May 8 at Jeonil Building 245 in Dong-gu, Gwangju, where he emphasized the need to establish a full-cycle biohealth ecosystem.

During the discussion, CEO Park stated, “Startups with innovative technologies must not stop at development. True industrial innovation is only possible when they can proceed through validation, certification, procurement, and ultimately export.” He added, “Local hospitals, research institutes, certification bodies, and procurement systems must be interconnected to form a seamless full-cycle ecosystem.”

Park further argued that, “For regions like Gwangju and Hwasun to rise as a ‘Medical Silicon Valley,’ they need more than just tenancy support. Integrated systems that connect field validation, public procurement, and overseas expansion consulting are essential.”

The seminar was hosted by the Democratic Party’s Future Economic Growth Strategy Committee and was well attended by key policymakers including lawmakers Ando Geol, Lee Eonju, Yang Bu-nam, Lee Gaeho, and Min Hyung-bae, as well as representatives from Gwangju City, South Jeolla Province, and regional medical institutions.
